On Thursday May 7, 2015 we were southbound to Houston on I-45 about a mile north of the 1488 exit (between Conroe and The Woodlands). We were in the RV, towing our Chevy Colorado truck. I was in the back sleeping, for those of you who know me that is probably no surprise. I woke up and could tell Jim was braking. By the time I got to the front of the motorhome he had pulled off the road and said he thought there was something wrong with a tire. It must have been a blowout by the looks of it although the tires are only a year old. Plus we have tire monitors and they showed nothing wrong as they would in this case. Jim wanted to unhook the truck and try to change it. I said no way, on the side of the road with all the traffic speeding by. I had heard about too many people injured or even killed. He called our roadside service company Coach Net. Since we didn't know if the tire could be changed or the truck would need to be towed they sent a tow truck driver. He was able to change the tire and we were back on the road in less than and hour. Tire is replaced and we are ready to hit the road again on Thursday!
